What’s all this Hurleyberloo?

At Hurleyberloo, fine, provincial, and rustic make good company. You’ll find early Americana, folk art, and other things that simply seem to belong together. What they share is harder to define: good form, an interesting surface, a sense of history, or that elusive something that makes an old object difficult to pass by.

Lots of antiques still do what they were made to do, but with age they can reveal something more—the hand of the maker, the beauty of the materials, and traces of the people who lived with them. Maybe they were there all along, but time has helped us notice. This is much of what appeals to us.

The joy is in discovery—finding that quality that makes us stop and look twice. I see something in them. Maybe you will too. Sometimes you’ll want to take something home. Sometimes the discovery itself is enough. This is the reason I created Hurleyberloo.
